Software Piracy

Software Piracy is bad for our society and it puts a very negative effect on us. Freeware and shareware allow people to download and use software for free. When people pirate software it takes those privaledges away and thats not fair. Freeware and shareware is used by many people to do many different things and may be used for advertisement.

Definitions

Freeware: software that is available for no cost

Example: Facebook, AOL Mail

Shareware: software distributed without initial charge but for which the user is encouraged to pay a nominal fee to cover support for continued use.

Example: Yahoo, Picnik

Open Source: of or relating to or being computer software for which the source code is freely available

Example: Abode, Java

Sometimes I use Abode.

Commercial Software:  software that is produced for sale or that serves commercial purposes.

Example: Microsoft Word, Photoshop

My experience doing a screen cast.

I liked this project better than I thought I would because it came easier to me probably because I did it last trimester. I didn't realize it but I could have paused it while it took forever to load. Sometimes I didnt know the right words to say but it turned out good. Overall, It was pretty fun to make and I enjoyed it.

My Snow Day!

My snow day yesterday was pretty fun. After I slept in I made my ultimate favorite breakfast,
chocolate chip and banana pancakes. After that I did the dishes with my brother and got ready for the day. Later in the day, I went to my best friends Madison's house. After we hungout for a little bit we went to the basketball game to watch the girls JV and Varisty teams. Then, I went home, took a shower, and went to bed. That was my lovely snow day.

Arizon Shooting

I think there was no reason for the shooting in Arizona of the congress woman, Gabrielle Giffords. It is ridiculous that Jared Loughner did that and it was not in any way right. This could affect the world because people can start thinking that they can express their opinions in violent ways. If something like this happened ever again I think they should make a stronger law and enforce it with greater power.

Winter Wipeout Blog

This blog was called Winter Wipeout and it is about the winter season of the TV show Wipeout. I liked how it said some of the other shows that are on before and after it. I didnt like how it had no pictures and it didnt really describe the show.
